The Journey of Palm Plates

Prakritii Palm Plates are made from the shredded leaves of the Areca Palm Tree. No trees are cut at any stage — only naturally fallen leaves are used. India is home to roughly 75% of the world's areca nut plantations, making areca palm leaf tableware a distinctly Indian product with no real global equivalent.

Attributes

Palm leaf plates are a sustainable alternative to conventional dinnerware — eco-friendly, biodegradable, and entirely natural. They're sturdy enough for heavy and oily meals, free of plastic, glue, and chemical treatment, and break down without harming the environment. From nature, and back to nature.

The Lifecycle

The lifecycle of palm leaf plates is fully circular. As leaves fall naturally from areca trees, they're collected, cleaned, and pressed into plates and bowls using heat and pressure alone. After use, the plates biodegrade into organic matter that enriches soil — completing the cycle without leaving lasting waste behind.
